Kikai holding jutsu is used simply to immobilize and opponent. Kikai bugs cover the opponent and their exoskeletons lock together completely surrounding an opponents and limiting movement. While the bugs are locked together on the opponent they are while unable to move are less susceptible to attacks due to the powerful hide of Kikai wrapped around them. The only efficient way to break free is to be attacked by a jutsu of the rank of the Kikai Holding Jutsus user or higher.
